This then leads to believing that their stuttering is chronic and then they give up on stopping compulsion. Would you agree with that? * Then they do rituals (like secondary behaviors as you said) to relieve themselves from anticipatory anxiety. This then leads to trying to deliberately control their speech mechanism, because they lose faith in their automatic natural speech Kids who outgrow stuttering do the exact opposite: * They let their body speak automatically * They don't react to stuttering. This implies that they don't perceive triggers as 'I will stutter' or 'my stutter is chronic'
