I was issued one of these in the 3rd grade. This was in the 80s, and it was called a Bio Feedback Machine. It was a horrible experience. The delay was bad enough, but the hyper 3rd grade kids talking and screaming all of the time gave me severe anxiety. Of course, my parents and the teachers made me wear it anyway.
