SkyBlade79. I’m not sure I agree with you. Reducing anxiety helps others, including myself improve my stuttering. When you’re anxious, you’re body is often in some stage of fight or flight. Making it harder for you to speak or think clearly. When you’re in a calm place with a clear head you’re better able to reduce your stuttering because you’re able to focus on taking full breaths to support your speech. Compared to short shallow ones, which typically happens to someone who is feeling anxiety. Also, just because slowing down your speech doesn’t work best for you, does not mean it doesn’t work best for others. What works for you. Works for you. Allow someone else to share what has helped them, despite it being different from your experience. Take what you can from their advice and leave room for others to do the same.
