FUCKING yes. I hate group conversations (obviously bc of stuttering). So when I find that I am in a group convo, I'm usually quite. But I will try to sneak in a few comments like you said when I know I won't stutter. Often generic phrases, such as "wow, really?" "damn thats so cool", etc...
