It sounds like you have a mild stutter like me. I'm so sorry for the trauma you faced and that will make dating very hard going forward, believe me. I started online dating almost a year ago now and went on lots of dates before finding a loving girlfriend that I'm still with today. The best dates I had were the ones where I talked about my stuttering and framed it as a struggle I've had my whole life. A struggle that is my own and not something I'm asking my date to have to shoulder. Every single girl I've told this to had a very positive response. Today, my girlfriend will even introduce me to people (I stutter on my name) and always orders takeout on phone (phones are the worst!). So all that to say: TELL HER!
