Is there any way you could choose a new name for yourself? A guy at my husbands work place had this issue, so much so that they actually mistakenly identified him as another colleague ‘hugo’ which turns out he could actually say! He just became Hugo and eventually he legally changed his name. He also met his wife there and is happily married now :)
