I had an in-person assessment centre today and stuttering wasn’t an issue For me, the one place where my stutter rears its ugly head and can be uncontrollable are in job interviews/assessment centres I had one today where I had to deliver a 5 minute presentation which isn’t easy because of being on a time limit and I also had to get up twice in two group sessions to speak in front of and to a bunch of people I’d never met before. I had a few tiny blocks, but I jumped over those hurdles and got through them quickly to express the points I wanted to make and say everything I wanted to Will I get the job? I don’t know. Tbh, it’s not really my thing, but I wanted to post this because I see a lot of posts expressing concern about job interviews on here which I completely understand I just think if I can get through a 6 hour assessment day without having my stutter effect me in a high pressure situation when it’s by far and away my biggest insecurity, everyone else can, too It’s a small win, but you have to celebrate the small wins in life, especially when your stutter has gotten you down numerous times
