^ exactly. We condition ourselves to live in our heads and assume that our stutter is going to ruin our life. Of course it's one of the hardest things to deal with, but we fail to realize that other people actually appreciate our wits and courage to even do an interview or presentation if we disclose. In my case as well, I've gotten all my past job offers from situations in where I've disclosed my stutter. Early in my career and life I thought I would havw to be fluent or else nothing would ever work out. It was naiivity, but I am glad I learned when I did.
