I had blocks for 3 decades. Doing voluntary repetitions (and eye contact) made my nearly fluent in 3 weeks. I’m a preschool teacher in a large school so I can talk to 50-100 people every day - definitely real world. I may not be explaining myself well- if someone is terrified/frozen about the idea of letting themself stutter in a regular situation, this is the training wheels. The *intention* is that it’s merely the first (or pre-step) in what would otherwise be an impossible situation.
