Doctors have no idea how to treat stuttering. They’re just throwing their methods out there in hope something sticks. I used to feel bad when treatments didn’t work on me, I felt like I did something wrong / was lazy and stupid, *because the method is so great, people get cured all the time, how can I still stutter?*. Turns out nobody fucking knows how to cure it.
