A grown adult woman/mother, whom I never met before, but we had mutuals, either after or during me getting stuck on introducing my name decided to mock me in the same manner I spoke. I had to spend about 2-3 hours with this person for the rest of the night trying not to cry the whole time. It was at trivia, which I LOVE, but I felt so damn miserable and depressed. I did anything to stop thinking about it, texting my mom, looking at memes, brief yeses/nos to questions someone asked me about something. It was hell. She's never apologized or seemed to have thought she did anything wrong. No one heard her or at least no one intervened, but I later told my parents so I had some comfort there. I'm normally very shy, but I feel like I'm a new, different person in that trivia place. I just don't understand how people can act like that.
