My husband has a stutter and it is exacerbated by alcohol. He has been kicked out of bars or not allowed in because of it. People mistake his stutter for extreme intoxication, even if he is no more drunk than anyone else we’re with who is allowed in. It makes me really angry but I know it embarrasses him so we don’t really talk about it. I’m sorry that happened to you.
