I've experienced this too. Feeling at ease and lethargic after waking up can reduce stuttering tendencies. One tip I've found helpful is recalling how it feels when stuttering less and applying that framework to communication throughout the day. It can be hard to implement in practice but it's largely a mindset thing, remembering that feeling when stuttering less and striving to replicate it throughout the day.
