Word switch for sure is my go-to. Sometimes I formulate the sounds that I don't stutter on with my tongue internally in my mouth where others can't see, and do that repetitively until I "catch a flow" that I can spew out a coherent sentence on. Sometimes if I know I'm going to stutter on a given sentence I will just leave out the first letter of the first word from my annunciation and most people still follow what you are saying and just assume that they didn't hear you correctly or that you misspoke. I also will pretend I can't remember something and give the person I'm talking with cue words that can help them supply the "incoming stutter word" for me so that I can continue on with rest of the sentence. Also in certain situations (obviously not all the time) I find a little alcohol in social situations can improve my stuttering and can at least make weird pauses or word choices appear to be inebriation rather than a stutter. Obviously, you're playing with fire if you start to rely too heavily on that last suggestion, but a combination of all of these strategies is essentially how I've been able to communicate since childhood. It's definitely a challenge though, above all keep trying and don't be embarrassed. You'll find your own tricks that will work best for you.
