See, here's the thing. We are stuck with a speech habit that cannot be cured. At best it can be controlled to varying degrees but not completely cured. It impairs our lives to an extent we let it. This is probably a feel good mechanism. You can't do anything about it, so why not think of ways to make yourself feel better about what you're stuck with. Having said that, stuttering does set you apart from the rest. Maybe initially in a negative way, but that's when the light is on you to shine. So inspite of your speech impediment, it is up to you to shine. Stuttering gets that light on you. Shine away!
