Hello Bastian, I’m Ayla & I’m from the United States but am actually Norwegian by blood 🇳🇴 so I’m 20 and have only had a stutter for the past 2 years or so. I believe it’s from an extremely low self esteem after an abusive relationship and never fully recovering from it. In my case, and many other stutterers it seems- stuttering stems from the root cause of anxiety and low self esteem. Overthinking what you’re going to say and how the other person will react and thinking back to all the times you’ve stuttered. It effects my everyday life too. So many things and conversations and opportunities I avoid because of the stutter. I encourage you to dig deep within yourself and try to find the root of your insecurities. And with that comes acceptance and healing. Honestly, I don’t really know how I deal with my stutter. We all just live with it and maybe some of us can find the light at the end of the tunnel... Also, the movie the Kings speech really helped me gain some insight. Anyway. It’s awesome to see someone from Norway on here!
