Can a tumor in the Cerebellum explain my stutter?

Can a tumor in the Cerebellum explain my stutter? I have been stuttering for 20 years. It's my only neurological symptom and I've got a benign tumor in the fourt lobe of Cerebellum and it was accidentally discovered in February. The neurosurgeon said that there's no way it should be removed at this point as we are not sure if it's growing at all. It's also a difficult operation but the tumor is still most probably 100% removable. He suggested I could have had the tumor all my life and it could be related to stuttering. I have never been the type of stutterer that can speak perfectly when speaking alone. There's just a few types of words I cannot say in any circumstances. I googled "Cerebellum speech" and the first link I opened claimed that Cerebellum is responsible for speech production in multiple different ways and there's even a condition called "Cerebellar mutism" that occurs after a Cerebellar tumour gets removed. Huh that's very fucking scary. But I got to hope that those two are related because if they were, it would most likely not grow quickly because my stuttering hasn't got worse over the years.
