I love it when someone I know laughs at my stammer

I love it when someone I know laughs at my stammer Sounds strange but it’s true. I always feel quietly pleased when someone I have known for a while laughs or comments when I stammer. I interpret this as them not actually thinking I have a stammer and therefore being comfortable to react to it. Of course I could be wrong and they’re arseholes but I choose to believe the former (I believe most people are generally good and kind). This reinforces to me that my stammer isn’t as terrible as I assume it is. Curious if anyone else experiences this?
