I keep gasping for breath whilst talking at a stretch

I keep gasping for breath whilst talking at a stretch Sometimes when I have to talk for a while, I keep gasping for breath whilst talking at a stretch. And as the words get lost in stutter, it feels like I have expanded a lot of effort while speaking. Is there any way I can reduce this to an extent?
