I appreciate you standing by the method that worked for you! I’ll retract my statement that Lee himself used bots to promote his books. Entirely possible bots were commenting on random products to appear real, then Lee’s books just got caught in the crossfire. Just re-checked their listing on Amazon and the generated comments I saw before were gone. A bit of context on the ‘bot-comments’, there were 10+ ‘unique’ users who spouted how much it helped their kids stutter and praised the book to high hell. Felt too good to be true, so I dug deeper. If you viewed other comments those users posted, you’d see each account posting on Lee’s books with WILDLY different life stories that didn’t add up with other comments they’ve made. Stories ranging from “My 8 year old son finally conquered stuttering using Lee’s methods!!” to “I graduate high school in a month and Lee’s technique finally gave me the resources to succeeds after I graduate!” all from the same account. Reported those comments and looks like Amazon took care of it! Comments now look much more genuine. Will admit I’m still a bit skeptical of some comments on his books, but that’s the internet skeptic in me haha. Bots are definitely an issue out there, especially on Amazon. Either way, thanks for the discussion and sharing your point of view. We’ve all experienced the effects of stuttering. The more we talk about our strategies, struggles, and victories; the more we can help others understand the path to fluency is far from linear. Gods speed and all the best, /osmoises ! 🫡🍻
