Why do I stutter less on online video calls compared to real life?

Why do I stutter less on online video calls compared to real life? I am learning a language and found that in my lessons online where in one lesson I practice conversation, words that I stutter on in real life, I can say fine in these video calls but when talking to coworkers, I cannot say those words without either one stuttering or blocking or nodding my head (secondary behaviour) while trying to get the word out. I think it’s because I can avoid eye contact easily while in a video call as opposed to real life.. I just block less in general.
