I relate to this, and have been hung up on while trying to breathe and gain control. However, I would say that I have benefited from increased exposure - the more often I’m exposed to situations like this, the more comfortable I become with them. I really see it as muscle memory you can develop, like playing a musical instrument. The more you get exposed to the triggers of your blocking, the more normalized it can become and easier to deal with.
