If your prospective employers are not properly trained SLPs, then they cannot possibly know why you are taking so long to answer questions and *appear* extra extra nervous. I just interviewed last week and the first words I said was to explain that I stutter and it often presents as having long pauses ad well as repetitions, etc. I’ve gotten control of my (years long debilitating) stutter by regularly disclosing, making sure to keep eye contact and enunciating. Tomorrow is my first day to meet my new colleagues and I am excited.
