I've (43M) been there so many times, it is a part of who I am. Some dips are brutal. Despite so many dips, with the possibility of more in the future, there have been good times. Went on a kick for about 8 months a while back where every day I looked for and wrote down 3 good things. The sunset. Music. A good conversation. I found it was useful to think back and savor the moments I listed as good. As simple as it sounds, my focus shifted from the stutter events and residual embarrassment to the other things. I saw them more. Saved my life really, and I feel like my focus shifted over time. I started getting excited for the good things, and saw way more than three. Sucks to be in a dip though.
