It seems to be a great tool to help in online meetings. The confidence boost and ability to effectively communicate verbally could really help someone overcome a lot of barriers to fluent speech. Maybe not all of them, but progress is progress, it could transfer to normal situations, and any rewiring of the brain towards improved function should be celebrated. My concern is that it could become a crutch, so should be used only as long as it's useful.
