Stuttering less in moments that matter the most

Stuttering less in moments that matter the most Yesterday I had a job interview for a very high paying government job (in an economic policy agency). I passed all the exams, so this was the last stage. Obviously I wanted to make a good first impression and showing that I can easily introduce myself. I was stressing quite a bit for that reason, but paradoxically enough once I had to do that (in front of 5 people), it just went perfectly fluent and fast. Normally my first name is one of the things I typically stutter (slightly) on, but I never do when I’m talking to someone import or am in an important situation. The same happened a few weeks when I had to present a research paper in front of around 50 (international) academics/professors. Of course I stuttered sometimes on other words during the 2 hour long interview, but they were very happy about the job interview, so hopefully I get the job. Anyone else got it that in moments that matter the most/are the most stressful, they tend to stutter less?
