I’d just live on. There really isn’t much you can do. My husband of 7 years also told me he didn’t care about my stutter. Now he helps me in public when I get stuck and he’s like the other half of me that doesn’t have a speech impediment. I honestly can’t imagine life without him. He gets angry at people that make fun of people that have our issue. He knows how badly I wish I could just stop doing it I love him he’s amazing
