It's good your not complacent. This means you are at the point where you are open to take some steps. For example, you could start calling store and ask simple questions to practice speaking on the phone. These first little steps are the hardest. You can snowball from these though into bigger and bigger steps. When I got a job that required me to speak on the phone I made strides. I made a choice not to avoid any longer and really surprised myself with what I was capable of as a stutterer. We harbor so many erroneous beliefs - "I can't do this or that because of stuttering." It's all just thoughts that will hold you back. Honestly no one cares I stutter. You care more than anyone else. You just gotta accept life and push forward.
