I’m so sorry you had this experience. I am so sorry for every who has to face these challenges. I had a horrible neurologist appointment last week where I experienced the worst stuttering and accompanying physical symptoms I’ve ever had. I left the place feeling desolate; certain that I would be forever stigmatized beyond even more than in the past. It sucks. I read posts here and people come across so intelligent, sensitive and articulate in writing. I feel like these are the genuine people behind the stuttering, but the disability takes center stage and the whole person can become invisible behind that disability. It’s wrong, but it is real. So sorry.
