A lot of the time fluent speakers use stuttering as a characterization trait for meek, nervous, or otherwise weak characters (like in Harry Potter), and its incredibly damaging for stutterers when very popular media solely bases their stutterers on that stereotype. Imo the only representation of a stutter that isnt damaging is when its portrayed just as the way the character talks, and not as a vital piece of the characters personality.
