I had the same issue, i was a very extrovert child who loves to read aloud in class and it was clearest reading in all class, then i dont know when i started to experience stuttering and my teacher would slap me hard when i couldnt get my words out and throw me out of class, fast forward now i am 35m and my speech is clear but i still do have social anxiety due to fear that i might stutter, mostly its overwhelming when i have to introduce myself. i still not able to figure out who i would be able to overcome this. i realised that i stutter due to fear that i might stutter.
