That's the thing isn't it? That's why there's so much tension around the subject of recovery. There's a subtly there where, if it's curable simply by doing things differently, than that subtly feels like it places blame on people who still stutter. I tend to reject that. But I feel that coming through between people's lines. Like no, it must be this biological thing we have no control over because otherwise it must be my fault for stuttering. I think it's yes and no. I think we can use our mind to recover. Maybe. I guess it's kinda like.. you can be born totally tonedef, but still through hard work and practice and training learn to sing. I do think there's hardware deficits that contribute to our issue. But not so severely that they can't be overcome. So I believe it's certainly possible it's just that we're doing it wrong. My instinct says it's sort of a combination of hardware deficits and doing it wrong. But it's also certainly possible that the hardware deficits we see are the result of nurture and not nature. I really don't know
