Id first suggest giving everyone the benefit of the doubt that maybe they just don’t realize how hurtful they are being. Id also look up “covert stuttering”. Stuttering can impact PWS in a huge variety of ways. Even many SLPs do not understand stuttering. So I rarely expect most people understand it at all. That being said, if you carefully let someone know their comments are hurtful and why, and it continues, you know what kind of person they are.
