After being covert for 25 years I decided to instead start by saying casually and confidently “just to let you know, I have a speech impediment, just in case you hear a pause or need me to repeat something. I did it this week in a call to my bank and people are super cool, and puts me at ease. Disclosure over alcohol, just my 2 cents.
