Yeah I graduated this may and I’m currently waiting to hear back from a supermarket job position which I’m terrified about due to my stutter. One of my friends works in retail but is doing a teaching English as a foreign language course and two of my other friends are training to be high school teachers. I haven’t spoken to them about my stutter - my family neither. I feel so stuck, If I didn’t stutter I would’ve liked to perused a career like teaching or at least have had the option. I know everyone says I still can but it sucks so bad. Tbh, what I really want to do is write, luckily that doesn’t require absolute verbal competence - it’s just a case of getting into such a competitive industry.
