As I said before: "This is a drug without an application." They didn't develop ecopipam for stuttering. They are searching for an application for this drug. There is no evidence yet to suggest that ecopipam can improve fluency. That's why I call it false hope. The only data so far is a 2016 study for ecopipam for stuttering never posted the results. It's my opinion that we should focus on treatment that is available today. I disagree with suggesting unavailable drugs to people desperately seeking any avenue that might improve their fluency. I'll follow the active study. We'll see if this study publishes results, or if it concludes similarly to the other study, without results posted.
