I work with COVID case management and contact tracing. I call people all the time. It was quite scary at first but people are more patient than you think. Maybe once I got someone with an attitude, but seriously, people aren't that bad (maybe because I work with students). For me it has become easier over time and I find myself not stuttering as much or caring about it if I do. As long as I can do my job is all that matters.
