Unfortunately, yes, this has been my experience too. I'm 39M and have a few close friends (mostly from high school and college) that I hardly ever see but do have a weekly video game session with some of them now. It's hard making new friends as an adult! I've made two new meaningful friendships in about the past 6 years or so and unfortunately have effectively lost one because my wife and baby and I moved across the country. I anticipate I'll make some new friendships out of obligation with other fellow parents because of my child, but it's rough going, especially for an introvert.
