There are clinics specifically for stuttering in Australia, but most slps work in a hospital or privately and do a lot more than stuttering such as proper eating methods, swallowing disorders and many other speech disorders. There wouldn't be much difference between working at a stuttering clinic or somewhere else, salary would depend on experience and whether you're in a private or public sector. All medical professionals earn well over here, but to be fair, if you have a full time job over here you should be able to live comfortably. We are not America where you need to work like 3 jobs to afford rent (unless you want to rent something well above your means)
