Repetitions? a little bit. My biggest issue will always blocks.. Growing up, I was one of those kids who would be like: "h-h-h-h-h-h-h-hello". My parents put me in speech therapy when I was young and I remember going until my middle school years. The biggest issue I had with blocks was words starting with the letter D. And guess what? My name starts with the fucking letter D! I've learned that I will always stutter if I just tried saying "Derrick", but if I say "My name is Derrick", I usually have no problems. But I still have those moments where I'm caught off guard if I'm ordering something in public and they ask me for my name so they can call it when its ready... If I feel a stutter coming on, I'll just throw out a random ass name like "John" cause its easy for me to say :( ... but honestly, I guess it's just a matter of learning what works best for you in terms of masking or getting better? Since I stutter, I always had a hard time approaching women and trying to talk to them. I remember the first time I actually tried and I didn't stutter at all.. it was amazing and helped my confidence. Also, during my younger years, I spent a lot of time at the club/bars going up to women and dancing with them as the "conversation starter". Now I've just been using dating apps more. I don't know how old you are, but what honestly helped me was getting jobs where I had to talk to people.. Six flags, call center, customer service bs, all the way to being a corporate trainer. I hope I helped or answer your questions, but feel free to ask me anything else.
