She has worked with the AIS for over 15 years to help children and parents who stutter. She has also hosted the AIS's Freeing Voices, Changing Lives Gala. Blunt has spoken about the impact of stuttering and how it's not a person's fault. She has said that stuttering is neurological, genetic, and biological, and that it's not psychological or caused by nervousness or insecurity. She has also said that stutterers don't feel understood.
