Seeking Japanese Americans who Stutter for Research Opportunity Hello! My name is Mariko Ito, I'm a Japanese American (almost) Speech-Language Pathologist conducting research at Michigan State University with Dr. Scott [Yaruss.](https://Yaruss.My) My goal is to learn about the experience of Japanese Americans who stutter and be able to better inform SLPs on culturally appropriate practices. I'm very passionate about this topic and learning about the intersectional identities of people who stutter! **What:** Participation will include a one hour zoom interview and an online questionnaire **Who:** Eligible participants will meet all of the following criteria: 1. Adults 18+ 2. People who self-identify as Japanese American (this can include but are not limited to: people who are half-japanese, people who are ethnically Japanese but born and raised in the US, Japanese people born in Japan that have spent a significant portion of their life in the US.) 3. People who self-identify as a person who stutters If you fit this criteria and are interested in participating, please reach out to me at itomari1@msu or private message me here to be asked some more screening questions to see if you are eligible. Please share with anyone who you may think would be eligible! Thank you :)
