I think you could always choose a job with less talking than a cashier? What about a stocker? This is not to say that you should avoid speaking. However, there will certainly be times where you stutter and it could happen pretty hard in front of a line of people. It’s up to you to decide if that’s gonna bother you or not. If you have thick skin, you could try anything you want. If your boss is ableist and a dumbass, your mileage may vary.
