All of these medications are anti-anxiety/depressant medications, which work on different neurotransmitters in the brain and also modulate dopamine too, to some extent. By reducing anticipatory anxiety in stressful or social situations it can improve fluency for some, not all. I take Prozac/Fluoxetine and it definitely helps me in social settings because I’m not an anxious mess anymore, so I block a lot less.
