Ancipatory anxiety and blocks Hi everyone, I'm 18, and have been stuttering for as long as I can remember. I started from kindergarten, I had a friend of mine who stammered and to imitate him or just listening to him I started stammering too. From there I never stopped. While I don't have such a severe stutter, sometimes I get stuck and can't even say my first and last name. What bothers me most is the anticipatory anxiety that occurs when I have to say a word with which I already know I am stopping. I would like to understand how to manage this anxiety, if any of you managed to get rid of it and how. Thank you.
