Stuttering and giving job interviews I've done a couple of informal job interviews in the past few weeks, where the company I work for is looking to hire and I've been conducting the interview alongside the owner to handle the technical aspect of things. It's extremely frustrating when my words don't come out, or I stutter my way through my line of questioning or fact finding as it makes me sound like a bumbling fool who is very confused and not really sure what I'm talking about, whereas in my head, the words are are crystal clear and I know exactly what I'm trying to ask, but my mouth just refuses to co-operate. I've left both of these extremely dejected, not really wanting to do it again, though being in a small company, there's not much choice. That's not entirely a bad thing though as this is something I need to overcome and being forced to confront it might be the only way to overcome it. Are there are any others here who have conducted job interviews? How do you deal with it?
