It’s really not a monster or a demon. It’s simply habituated thoughts and physical responses to certain situations and certain words/sounds that are continually supported by you reaffirming these responses when they occur. And It’s less about replacing negative thoughts and more about starving them/changing the channel and letting them slowly die off in their own through lack of attention. This is very subtle.
