A lot of these posts popping up about stutters holding people back in life recently eh? Like most people say, and ill say it again, you cant let it get to you. I dont know how bad yours is, mine has its up and down days and there are days I avoid talking when I know its gonna be bad, but I never skipped school or something like that. I think just accepting it and finding what works for you when dealing with blocks/stutters is what helped me. I wanna be a dentist, a social job and involves lots of talking and social interaction and Im not letting my stutter hold me back. Have you tried any kind of therapy? In Roanoke VA theres a 1-2 week long program that people say helps, I didnt go to it cause I had other commitments but I heard it helps. But I think you just have to learn to accept it, im 24, survived college and most my friends didnt know I had a stutter till my senior/junior year i've gotten pretty good at hiding it that no one knows. Just work on your breathing and when you know youre about to have a block, ease into it. Once you get better at it itll be second nature and you'll be fine.
