Want to hear a funny one? I'm a dog groomer. It's known and accepted(maybe reluctantly) that I cannot answer the phones. I don't think my coworkers quite get it but I'm trying to at least call the owners to inform them that their dogs are ready for pick up.. I don't want to be a burden. So, the other day, I go to call a pet parent. She cuts me off while I'm stuttering through, "this is Alex from ____" and she says no worries, she knows who it is. I say, "oh great!" and she cuts me off again with some nonsense. There's then a real awkward silence as I'm blocking and she jumps straight to, "oh my God. Is fluffy okay?! What's happened?!" Karen thought I killed her dog. 🙄
