Has anyone been asked if they have turrets syndrome?

Has anyone been asked if they have turrets syndrome? I've developed some bad stutter habits. Sometimes I open my mouth while struggling to speak. I've been asked if I have turrets. Also...anyone have advice for overcoming this really bad habit of the mouth gestures??
